Pop diva Mariah Carey is featured on the latest cover of PARADE magazine. The songbird discusses her marriage to music executive Tommy Mottola saying:
“Some of the songs on the new album discuss a certain time of my life that was so intense. I grew up with such dysfunction that I was just used to it. I assumed that I didn’t have a right to be a happy in a personal life. If I had a career and all these other things, I thought, ‘you asked for it, you got it.’ But I look back at it now and I feel that part of that was my fault, for allowing the relationship to linger — or, dare I say, fester — for so long. I knew that I needed to be singing and expressing myself, or I never would have gotten through that period. I do believe that I learned a lot from him, and that he really did believe in my talent and I am very grateful for that. On my new album, the song ‘Side Effects’ says, ‘Kept my tears inside, ‘cause I knew if I started I’d keep crying for the rest of my life.’ It’s really true. At that point in my life [during my marriage] I didn’t cry because I had to be so emotionally cut off to deal with it.”

im so happy that Mariah is no longer married to that psycho. Although she made some greatttt music (Emotions Album, Music Box album, and Daydream album) she (i feel) started to show who she really was. Butterfly, was an amazing album. and I stillll play it to this day.

I inspire mariah carey, she has a great talent in herself. She beliefs in her self and thats how she always came up with new cd, has great concerts, and she is a beautiful women. I am a great fan, and I see her more as a best friend that overcame as music artists. I see her a a best friend because she sings about her experinces through out her life. A lot of people have these arguments about christina aguilera Vs. Mariah. Christina has her own style of singing an she is married already, she also has a big responsibility by having a baby. She is a great singer. Mariah had difficulties in her life but came back with new hits. Mariah is Mariah she is a diva. Not only she has many fans at her concerts, ive been there many times. She has 5 octive notes and she always has duets with artists. I belivie in her just like she belivies in everyone to fufill thier dreams. Song name: Can’t take that away

Mariah Carey continues on writting songs about her real life and she does a great job with that. The songs she makes are not only about getting your heart break but also about having a good time (it’s like that) listen to the lyrics. She has a new cd coming out in april 15th, which im going to buy. I am her number 1 fan, I have the perfume plus lotion collection.
