Fat Joe went sold 50k on a independent. That’s a half million dollars and he splits that with he label. include ringtones and digital sales and that’s still more then most rappers make.
Well in terms of his album and album only it went 10x pebbles & rubbles! His digital sales arent that spectaculat ya know! maybe his ringtones are doin well tho, cuz thats a major market!

Yeah, OKAY so what he is a independent artist, the FACT that you only sale less than 50k your first week is highly disappointing considering he’s been out for years, like seriously dude has been out for YEARS! why hasn’t he ever sold more than 200k records the first week? that has to be disappointing to JOE, he makes decent music but his fan base isn’t HIGH and please don’t say it’s caused by CD DOWNLOADS because that is bullshit. Lean Back is what kept him in the game and being on other people hot tracks is what’s keeping him in the game. he was never a stong artist to me, he became hot due to his partner passing away!
