If you don’t remember…17 months ago on the eve of his wedding Sean Bell was gunned down in a barrage of “50 bullets” after leaving his bachelor party at Club Kalua in Jamaica, Queens. Initially reports stated that Bell or one of his two friends in the vehicle (Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield) had a weapon, but after that was proved untrue the big issues became whether Bell and his friends knew the person who first approached his vehicle was an undercover police officer and if Bell and his friend threatened violence or gestured like they had weapons.

**UPDATE all officers have been found NOT GUILTY…woooooow!!!!
Detectives Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora were found not guilty of charges of manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell, 23, and the wounding of two of his friends while Detective Marc Cooper was acquitted of reckless endangerment. Justice Arthur Cooperman issued his verdict in the bench trial saying “this was a careless act, but carelessness is not a crime”. There was no jury.
Sadly, we kind of suspected this when the judge waited until the Pope left NYC…but this is just unbelievable.
The officers are now free to return to work??????

I have to comment. This is sickening, unjust, horrible! I just don’t think it is a race thing. I am a 37 year old white woman. I honestly believe the government WANTS there to be racial tension so we never look at the real oppression. It is the haves against the have nots. The cops are a gang with a liscence to kill or steal. The haves know that if all the have nots ever quit bickering and band together we might accomplish something. They want the racial tension! I do believe something like this could be more likely to happen to a black man (makes me ashamed to be white). The thing is, if it was a poor white man, the verdict would be the same. I dont think it was race, i think they shoot those boys cause they new they at the law by there side, its sad because 2 off the cops were black, and to shoot someone without getting shot at if your a police officer should be a crime. All three cops should of got some time in jail or some kind of justice should of happened.
