If you don’t remember…17 months ago on the eve of his wedding Sean Bell was gunned down in a barrage of “50 bullets” after leaving his bachelor party at Club Kalua in Jamaica, Queens. Initially reports stated that Bell or one of his two friends in the vehicle (Joseph Guzman and Trent Benefield) had a weapon, but after that was proved untrue the big issues became whether Bell and his friends knew the person who first approached his vehicle was an undercover police officer and if Bell and his friend threatened violence or gestured like they had weapons.

**UPDATE all officers have been found NOT GUILTY…woooooow!!!!
Detectives Michael Oliver and Gescard Isnora were found not guilty of charges of manslaughter, assault and reckless endangerment in the death of Sean Bell, 23, and the wounding of two of his friends while Detective Marc Cooper was acquitted of reckless endangerment. Justice Arthur Cooperman issued his verdict in the bench trial saying “this was a careless act, but carelessness is not a crime”. There was no jury.
Sadly, we kind of suspected this when the judge waited until the Pope left NYC…but this is just unbelievable.
The officers are now free to return to work??????

Sad Sad Sad day… How many bullets have to pierce a man before it’s too much… It only takes 1 bullet to kill a man, so if you shoot over 50 how can you be innocent of anything???

I expected it. Living in N.Y.C for over 20 years you have seen it all. The nypd cops are a street gang with right to do anything they please. same story different day. Bell family hold ya head and let god fight your battles. I know how it feels to lose someone at the hands of someone else and nothing come out of it. So I pray for your mental peace.
