Well Chelly i respect your opinion even though I disagree and seems majority of the ppl making comments do too. @Chelly there is a difference in rap between just saying hot lines(crazy metaphors and similes, descriptive imagery, bragging rhymes) and there are hot lines that resonate with people or the subject matter is fact not fiction. They song is called Put On…His whole verse was first how he PUT ON for NY by reppin his hood, NY, Biggie, Nas, and Diddy…then he goes on to tell you how he tried to PUT PREME on, and that he knew Jail was coming for Preme. Then he addresses everyone saying they put him on…the dames, the jim jones, and all the crying dudes with no money now. And the problem is NO ONE ELSE could say those rhymes because then it would be a lie because it was very specific to him and his situations.

But I keep asking…who in rap right now is as consistent as him lyrically…with albums, guest appearances and freestyles?”

It woulda been cool for souja but not for a pioneer like Jay. Put them same lines on any other voice and everybody would said it was wack. And like On The Real Tho said “a billie” was wack too. If this the shit he gon come with, he should just leave us with the good memories!
