It was announced that a woman’s body was found at popular club Spotlight Live three days after she attended a party for rapper Lil’ Kim on Sunday. The woman who is from Queens, NY was found on the roof of the club and appeared to be struck with a fatal blow. CRAZY!!

A 24-year old man named Rahman Syed who worked as a bar assistant at the club has been arrested today for the murder of the female, Ingrid Rivera. According to witnesses Rahman took another lady up to the roof that night and tried to “grope” her, but she got away. I can’t imagine what Ingrid’s mother, her family, and loved ones are going through right now.
I am approximately Ingrid’s age (I am 23) and have worked and gone to many clubs and bars. This could have happened to me or anyone. Sometimes the bouncers are much worse than the patrons and they simply can not be trusted. Bartenders and DJs can be psychos too. Always watch your drink and don’t go alone. It’s horrifying to think how terrified she must have been in her last few moments of life.
It happens more often than we think but this one luckily did not get away. He could have been on a flight back to god knows where and this would be another unsolved crime. My prayers r with her family.
