I believe Brooklyn has sold the most records because every good(not necessarily good excluding Jay-Z, Biggie among others but famous) rapper comes out of that borough so it is safe to say that that’s the one.

I as a Williamsburg Brooklyn native must first say… let’s stop with the Pac (overrated) from Harlem, and the hip hop began in the BX becuz well…. no one cares… I will say Brooklyn RULES NOW AND FOREVER, but record sales wise I will defer to the borough named for a royal woman… but KINGS county has produced much better music than Queens, Hova, Biggs, Buck Shot, MOP, AZ, Lil Kim, Fox Boogie, Mos Def. Talib Kweli, ODB, Big Daddy Kane, Fabolous, the list goes on, we definetly win on talent and great albums!!!

To really answer the question you gotta look at ALL the groups from both boroughs, i mean you can start with the big names, but there’s still alot of MC’s on both sides that have a nice following and have sold records. I don’t even see names on here like BCC/Duck Down(Brooklyn), AZ(Brooklyn), Cormega(Queens), CNN(Queens), Talib Kweli & Mos Def(Brooklyn), etc…. I mean the list goes on and on from both sides.
