So Chris Brown turned himself into the Los Angeles Police Department during tonight’s Grammy Awards on felony battery charges. The woman who still remains unidentified is not the R&B stars girlfriend Rihanna as many speculated. Brown was released on $50,000 bond after being booked. On the Today Show (NY) they confirmed that it was definitely Rihanna. There is also word that he did it because she gave him herpes. In my book, thats a reason to open a can of whoop ass, man or woman. Hopefully thats not the case.
I believe it’s Rihanna too, I watchin “E” at like 1:30am and saw this news scrolling at the bottom of the screen. I was shocked. E also said Chris & Rihanna cancelled their scheduled grammy appearences, and a rep for Ri issued a statement saying “Rihanna is well”.

According to TMZ.com, Chris Brown was charged with felony assault with a deadly weapon in addition to the domestic battery charges filed against him by one Robyn Fenty, aka Rihanna!
TMZ has confirmed Rihanna is the named alleged victim in the Chris Brown case and the allegation is that she was assaulted with a deadly weapon.
Law enforcement sources tell us the crime report calls the incident assault with a deadly weapon — we do not yet know the nature of the weapon.
The crime report gives the victim’s name as Robyn Fenty — that’s Rihanna’s real name. [LINK]
This doesn’t necessarily mean Chris Brown pistol whipped Rihanna (which would explain why she’s still in the hospital).
In some rare cases, assault with a deadly weapon charges have been filed against people who are experts in the field of martial arts, and their hands can technically be defined as deadly weapons.
If she gave him herpes I can understand his rage but I don’t think he should’ve hit her unless she assaulted him first and Robyn does look like the type to loose control…but this is sad for the young couple…
