Halle is gorgeous.
The show was really good this year hosts & performances. U can see how far the show has come since the beginning. Was it me or were they cutting people off after like 10 seconds into speaking? Whoevers job it was to cue the music deserves a bonus.
I have to say I found it a little shady of Beyonce to get up there right after J-Hud & thank her mother, sister & nephew specifically and thats it. She lost a lot of points on that one
For the 15-0th time…maybe Beyonce and Jennifer really dont care for each other! Why should she be a phony…
I really enjoyed watching the awards last night. I almost cried when Jennifer sang to Muhammad Ali
Yeah, I thought it was tacky of Bey to go so deep into thanking her family right after J. Hud. Even if they don’t care for eachother, where’s the harm is showing some respect and sympathy? It’s called being humane not phony. Phony would’ve been when she thanked all of the “wonderful women” nominated with her (J. Hud included) I could’ve also done without that Halo song, its boring and borderline Rihanna. Besides that, I really enjoyed the show. I’m glad that every winner didn’t get up and mention “Barack Obama, our first black president…yadda yadda ya…” in their acceptance speech. I know that we’re all happy that he won and we know that we have to do better, but it’s starting to get old and predictable.
Beyonce did great Job!!
@ Arvay-thank you for not being so narrow-minded & understanding the point i was tryna make, no need for details a simple “i would like to thank my family” would suffice. When has she ever thanked Solonge & better yet, her nephew? Y did she feel this was the appropriate time 2 do that? That was just tacky & she knew exactly what she was doing.

I think it was something going on between Beyonce’ and her mom. Because when Beyonce’ was singing she was damn near in tears, and they kept showing her mother and she looked extra pissed, even when she knew the camera was on her. Then Beyonce’ start talking about her family which she has never done. I’m certain it was some type of family beef going on. And every one knows that Beyonce’ and JHud don’t get along. JHud stole that thunder from Beyonce’ in Dreamgirls. That was suppose to be the “Diva’s” movie!
I didnt watch the show, only this clip of Beyonce. She sounded great.

Ok I dont understand if those two clearly dont like each other why should Beyonce even care who she thanks…oh because J-Hud family members died Beyonce should have toned down who she thanked etc…I dont think she should have…that was her (Beyonce’s) moment to give thanks to whom she wanted and thats what she did…perhaps ppl are reading more into than they should…Because on a personal note if I was accepting an award and the person that was on the stage before me husband recently died I damn sure would not stop thanking my husband out of respect for this other person…I would still thank my husband and say what ever it is that I want to say PERIOD!! Maybe it was bad timing on the shows respect to put them on back to back but to throw Beyonce under the bus (which the ppl on this site do all the time might I add) is not justified!
Now if you guys want to throw her under the bus do it for the horrible job she did singing Halo!

On a another note…maybe it wasnt as much of a dig at J-Hud as much as it was about her husband…she thanked Ty-Ty etc but not Jay….WTF was up with that!

^^^we know “queen bey” didn’t forget but on another note did anyone notice how off rhythm Halle was when they started to reference “Firsts” in history? She could not talk and stay on beat @ the same time. I guess that’s that other side of her that comes out from time 2 time. After awhile Tyler just started to hold her like “come on now ur embarrassing urself honey ima help u keep still”
