I have always been a Ben Stiller fan but I thought this was a malicious and cruel attack on this struggling but incredibly talented young actor. I liken it to a sucker punch. I will be boycotting Ben Stiller films from now on.
It wasn’t funny at all. Ben Stiller is an asshole in general, but since they were going to make a parody anyways they should have done a better job. It is also the kind of thing Ben Stiller will regret if the Joaquin Phoenix ends up committing suicide, god forbid.
Damn it’s just comedy from a……wait for it…….COMEDIAN!!

yeah, it was unnecessary and obvious. Especially for the fact that Phoenix is doing all of it for the funny attention and all. The guy isn’t “messed up” as he perceives to be. Even the Letterman appearance seemed to be a little staged in my opinion. And if it wasn’t staged, Phoenix was just playing into it. Why else would Casey Affleck be filming it all?

Get your panties out of a bunch. It was funny. Joaquin didnt just go crazy overnight. He wanted some damn attention and he got it. If he kills himself thats his damn problem. Poor troubled actor who decided to end his career and become a weirdo. give me a break! Ben is funny
You right Chelly. I don’t have time to feel sorry for these people, obviously still crying for attention. I have bills to pay. If he was really done with being famous then he should just disappear, not hang in clubs with Diddy!
That shyte was pure comedy. I loved it. Joaquin has had wonderful success, he was well respected as an actor and had more than enough money to pay the bills when a lot of us regular folks struggle with real issues, now he’s over being highly paid and admired. WHATEVER. He jumped on the crazy train and Ben just did what comedian’s do.
