RuPaul talks about her new show “Drag Race” and some pretty interesting things about herself. See some excerpts below:
How she maintaines her look: “I don’t drink, I don’t smoke, I eat good. Sometimes I cheat on the diet — you know, I’m human. I love brown sugar cinnamon Pop-Tarts.”
Her hiatus from the spotlight: “It wasn’t a meltdown or anything. It really had more to do with understanding the temperature socially. Now [in the Barack Obama era] it’s the perfect time to reemerge.”

What does Obama being President have to do with drag queens?

I think he’s referring to the conservatives of the Bush administration that were agressively attacking alternative lifestyles -vs- the somewhat libral and more open minded Obama administration. But to be totally honest, it doesn’t make much sense to me either because he’s basically calling himself a coward.
Ha ha, I LOVE RuPaul! I totally get what she means about the social temperature. I can’t wait ’til she comes here to Seattle.
