For the first time in a looong time pyramid swindler Bernie Madoff’s wife Ruth came out of their penthouse last night to head over to the Food Emporium and pick up seem cheese we’re told, not sure how much it cost. Anyhow reporters swarmed her and she ended up leaving before she could buy more stuff…

Hell no! She can’t be left alone until she’s locked up for her part in the scheme too. There’s no way in hell that she didn’t know that they were living off of stolen money. Had they been black the entire apartment and everything in it would’ve already been confiscated and everyone on down to the grandchildren would be facing charges.

I have a friend who didnt find out that her fiance (now ex-fiance) was embezzelling from the bank he worked at until after the guy was caught!
There’s a whole spectrum of relationships out there. In some kinds of relationships, both partners know every detail of the others’ business affairs. In other kinds, one person keeps the other completely out of the loop. Most relationships are somewhere in between.
In any case, the truth is we don’t know Ruth Madoff, and we don’t know what her marriage was like. But just because YOU’RE the type of person who would’ve been “in the loop” doesn’t mean SHE is. It’s possible she’s always known about the Ponzi scheme. It’s also possible she found out just days before the arrest. The truth is, we don’t know, and we shouldn’t be condemning her without knowing.
