AS SUCCESSFUL AND AS MUCH PRESS HE HAS RECEIVED FOR HIS LAST ALBUM, MAINSTREAM MEDIA STILL CAN’T GET WITH HIS LIFESTYLE. SURE HE HAS A LOYAL FOLLOWING. BUT HIS MUSIC IS TOO “GHETTO” FOR THE BIGHEADS OUT THERE. WAYNE ON THE “VIEW” THAT IS JUST TOO ODD !!! WOW AS A MATTER OF FACT !!! AND DON’T CARE FOR THAT PROM SONG, AIN’T REALLY INTO THIS NEW ALBUM, HE STILL NEEDS A BREAK !!! HE’SBEEN GOIN NONSTOP A LIL TOO LONG NOW !!!

Say what you will about him, he had a certain charisma. Despite all the tattoos, crazy dental work and drug issues, there is something magnetic about this man. Something about him makes you wonder what makes him tick. This is the quality that takes a entertainer from “star” to “superstar”. Most rappers cannot seem to harness that quality, and sell it to the mainstream public. I want to see how far he can take this. Hopefully his lifestyle will not pull him down.

The concept still isn’t registering with me……. a rapper turning rock star? REALLY?

I’ll have to see where this goes!

and he’s only doin the rock thang to be more mainstream, he seen the success of his last album and said how can i out do myself, he has made leaps and bounds, but he sees that artist like Kanye are far more respected as far as an overall package in the mainstream !!!

@The Man

I think you’re wrong…lol.
Lil wayne was in a band and stuff before and he plays the guitar. I think Rock has always been important to him. I’m not exactly an expert on the dude tho.

@ Adam ur entitled ur opinion, but he knows that in order to maintain that level of success he had with his last effort he must hit that mainstream market once again, and rock is one of those genres that appeals to a major demographic. That “Prom Queen” song was nothing more than a bunch of noise clearly targeted to the kiddies. I think he should have layed low for quite a while, we’ve had to much of Lil Wayne, he was featured on just about every artists song or cd that has been out there. It gets a lil bland and tiresome when artist do that. Implus the drugs/alcohol has totally ruined his voice. Good solid artist tho. Just needs to chill for a while.
