The singer had this to say to MTV which will play from June 12th to July 5th at New York’s City Center:

“I think it’s definitely going to be pressure, but in a good way. Broadway is so prestigious, and just getting that experience and getting to work with more seasoned actors is exciting. Broadway, it’s a horse of a different color.”

Horse of a different color? Never heard that one before….this should be interesting…

I thought it was ‘The Wiz’. She did a Muppets-Oz movie, which is where the picture came from.

Who the hell thought it would be a good idea to cast Ashanti in a broadway musical?…I just hope she doesn’t do that obnoxious laugh she is notorious for after every sentence of the play.

“Horse of a different color” is a phrase from the Wizard of Oz. The doorman said it to Dorothy, Tin Man, Scarecrow and Lion once they reach the Wiz’ castle…..I adore musicals and the Wizard of Oz is one of my favs. I hope she doesn’t screw it up!
