The numbers are already rolling in and Eminem will have the highest selling album since AC/DC’s Black Ice album in October of 2008 when the sales tallies for his latest album Relapse are in. Marshall will move somewhere between 600 – 650,000 a far cry from the 1,000,000 you pill poppers thought he was going to sell but still VERRRY impressive in this economy.

I’m gonna go out on a lim and say Cudi’s numbers will come close, match, or surpass. If Sky Might Fall is made the official Transformers 2 trailer song and if the video turns out like he said it would. I also feel Mr. Hudson could be the biggest star in the world if Kanye knew how to market artists… running around with these cats and co-signing them will do nothing for their sales, it’ll only make them a familiar face. Day n’ Nite probably would’ve topped the charts if that video was released during the winter because it’s cold and the song has more of a morbid un-summer like feel to it, people are mostly sad in the winter so they would gravitate to the track even more. The record also has a club feel also and people go to clubs more during the winter because there’s nothing to do elsewhere. It would also help if Kanye doesn’t drop an album at the same time his artists do… for example COMMON FINDING FOREVER.

Nah…by large, a lot of people are tired of Kanye right now and the whole hipster-hop movement in general.. That shit is dead and Kanye need to come back up to speed and break new ground. If he can successfully do that and keep fishsticks out of his mouth in the process, he might come close to 650k-850k.
Eminem’s Relapse is a sick album though. Quite an achievement.

Eminem would have sold more if it weren’t for the damn downloading of the album a couple of weeks prior to it hitting the stores. Kanye’s last album and Weezy’s album didn’t leak that far in advance. Therefore they sold more. And I don’t even think Jay could match those numbers unless he brings it with a classic summer song. Eminem should have sold more though. He’ll get his million. Which is the equivalent to 5 million 7 years ago.
