Actor Orlando Bloom will be selling some pieces from his Rolex watch collection this month at the Antiquorum in NYC with proceeds going to to the United Nations children’s charity which Bloom is heavily involved in. All of the watches sold will include an autographed copy of the auction catalog.
The highlight of the collection is this fine and rare 1973 Explorer II Steve McQueen model, highly prized by Rolex aficionados, which Bloom wore on a leather cuff bracelet, estimated at $10,000 – $15,000. Also on offer is a newer piece, a rare black PVD-coated steel Milgauss anti-magnetic chronometer produced in 2008, estimated at $10,000 – $15,000 as well; and a fine and rare black face 1969 Explorer, a steal with an estimate of only $3,000 – $4,000.
