Very inappropriate and not cool. A Genius: Hammer was just underscoring how gratuitously wrong the question was. The fact of the matter is that the kid’s lifestyle was not affected during Hammer’s downfall because the kid wasn’t old enough to experience it.
If you had a child that looked at you as nothing but a great provider and role model, how would you react to someone pigeonholing you as a major failure on national TV? I thought Hammer gave a classy response given the circumstances.
