According to new details acquired by TMZ.com – Nas is fighting back about his finances and what he believes Kelis deserves for their divorce settlement. See excerpt from the article below.
For starters, Kelis claims Nas raked in $11 million for his album deal. Nas fired back in legal papers, “I did not receive even half that amount”… claiming it’s more like $4 mil. Nas claims his income is declining, and he’s only pulling in $147,165 a month.
As for what he spends … $71,371.96 a month, which includes $10,000 a month in clothing/hair/toiletries/personal effects.

Kelis is messy, just messy. Tryna bank on the money HE earned. Thinking she has a right to the fortune HE made. She is ridiculous. We all know Nas will take care of that child! Kelis just knows she has no backup plan and her weak ‘singing’ career is in the dumps. Therefore, she cant keep up with the rich and famous. And she does not NEED to either. As long as that baby is well taken care of…5,000 is MORE than enough for the child. The riches came WITH the man, and now that you are divorcing him you are also divorcing the money as well…so messy.
5000 is plenty and kelis is being greedy. its not about her anymore, its about their child and thats all she should worry about. i think any person who truly loved their husband even at one time should not do try to screw over their ex. its just morally wrong and if i did it would leave me with a bad feeling in my mouth. but then when i see that tryflin ass with another woman it all be worth it to know hes paying for his mistake and my new pairs of shoes
