At his age and position in life; I’d expect a more demure, uplifting video-blog. All this fast, pop your collar, money and LV bag talk is very lame. His former side kick is in jail for dumb sh8, talk of his girlfriend and him splitting is also on the ‘news’, MJ passed, yet no tru talk of that… this is a jacked up mess.
In the time of the economy and how folks are not only loosing their homes, but many are loosing their spirit for the joy of living, this guy decides to speak on the most uninspired subject matters. JD, come on – let’s get mature here…
From this blog response to the controversy, sparked by that strip video, it’s clear Jermaine Dupri doesn’t really understand where some of his critics are coming from and why they might be justified in their critiques.
To be granted so much opportunity in life and make a great deal of money with no sense of humility, just shows an arrogance and a disrespect to those who struggle everyday of there lives just to get by. There’s nothing wrong with spending money on strippers and having a good time, but when you spend $100,000 that could possibly have gone to feed hungry children or clothe the homeless, or god forbid reinvested it makes those doing it look foolish. and the fact that it happens all the time “where your from” doesn’t make it cool.
I would hope that someone with as many blessings and good fortunes as JD could look past the silly posturing and showing off and enjoy his money without callously rubbing the noses of those that don’t live “the life” in it. And this goes for all the rappers out there. It’s time for progress. be humble and thankful.

When I first saw the other video (strip club) I said “Damn why is JD going so hard on em hoe’s about picking up the money”, but now that I heard his explanation it makes sense lol…I’m from Cali but me and my girlfriends went on an ATL trip to party. We had to hit up “Magic City” fa sho! and see first hand what the fuss was about (No Homo). There was 2-3 rappers there that night. That was the first time I saw it “rain” live…guys would even hand us wads of cash so we could do it too (they go hard over there). There was money everywhere, you couldn’t see what the actual floor of the club looked like because it was covered in cash, and yes! the girls there knew exactly what was going on, they were used it and when the song would finish then they would pile up the money to put it into trash bags (33 gallon to be exact lol), awwww good times.
I myself would not spend 100 G’s at the strip club, even if I had it or if I was a man. At the same time though he earned his money so why should anyone else have the right to tell that man what to do with his own money. Yes, he could of done something more productive that would benefit society but I’m not going to be a hypocrite either because whenever I have any extra money I will run out and buy a Marc Jacobs sweater quick, fast and in hurry that I don’t need before I think about all the hungry children in the world. So if you are actually one of the people that donates and feeds the hungry I applaud you.
Bottom line is that nights where someone blows at ton a cash on strippers happens every night of the week.
I do expect some more maturity from him but as far as how was spent…..that was that mans money, all of yall who want to tell him what he should do with it are dead fuckin wrong…weather its 100,000 or 100 its his damn money….and hell strippers got kids to feed…who are you to trip on how he spent the 100,000 he earned….you can tell people who dont have 100,000 on deck because you are thinking like poor people……..people talk a good game when they dont have that kinda of money….but i would love to see how righteous people remain with that cash in hand……man some those chicks would have the most expensive weave money could buy and half the stock out of Aldo pahahahahahahahaha bitch boo bye!
