Looks like Michael Jackson’s fans will get to see the rehearsal footage from his “This Is It” tour when it hits theaters in October of 2009. SONY has acquired the rights for $60 Million and will split the earnings with the Jackson family – who will in turn set up a charity in the late singers name.

Wow… That’s kinda of….. ironic.
Sony was the company Michael was fighting over his share of the Beatles catalogue. During his trial, he was seen holding up signs or speaking out against Tommy Mottola (Mariah Carey’s first husband, and former President of Sony Music).
And now that same company bought the rights to his rehearsal footage, which is basically a working documentary of his last days alive… Wow. I guess Sony figured that if they couldn’t slander Michael’s name and make him go broke (thus forcing Michael to sell them them his stake of the Beatles catalogue), then they’d make money off of him some other way.
Im glad they got to split it with the fam and that a charity will benefit.
^^yes it is! and i will mos def see this when it hits the theaters…. R.I.P MJ
