Michael Jackson will be featured on GQ magazine’s September 2009 issue…. but the headline “When Michael Was Cool” is upsetting MJ’s fans.  How does it sit with you LIFERS???

Being it is GQ magazine, I think they are speaking of when he was a trend setter. Michael did influence many singers to day, but they were influenced by the young Michael. The way he dressed, the glove, the coats, the aviators. You don’t see singers walking around dressed like Captain Crunch (the latest Michael). Don’t take it the wrong way because I’m a huge MJ fan, when I was younger I had the Red jacket with the zippers in the front… lol

Why is this even being discussed? 08/19/2009 at 1:32 PM

In the greater scheme of things, does GQ even matter anymore? That has to be the most boring fashion magazine in print. With their antiquated styling and less than interesting spreads who’s really looking to GQ to determine what is & isn’t cool? MJ’s legacy is and will always be much bigger than anything GQ could ever say about him.
