Michael Jackson’s Final Hours Revealed

They’ll stop talking about this after you stop listening, one day after announcing the star’s death was indeed a homicide the details of his last moments have been released to CNN:

Three days before Jackson’s death — on June 22 — Murray gave the singer a combination of drugs that he hoped gradually would move the singer off propofol.  That mixture involved propofol, the anti-anxiety drug lorazepam (known by its brand name, Ativan) and midazolam (known as Versed). It succeeded in helping Jackson to sleep for that night and the next, Murray said.  But by the night of June 24, Jackson again apparently was unable to sleep.

At 1:30 a.m. on June 25, Murray decided to forgo the propofol in favor of 10 milligrams of Valium. Half an hour later, with Jackson still awake in bed, Murray injected the singer with two milligrams of lorazepam.  It still wasn’t working.

At 3 a.m., Murray gave the singer two milligrams of midazolam, pushed slowly into his IV. And two hours later, with Jackson still awake, Murray administered another two milligrams of lorazepam through Jackson’s IV.  The drugs did nothing to help Jackson sleep.

At 7:30 a.m., Murray gave the singer another two milligrams of midazolam in his IV.

By that point, Murray wasn’t even leaving Jackson’s room anymore, let alone his bedside. The doctor told police he sat next to the singer in his bedroom, monitoring Jackson’s pulse and oxygen levels.  More than three hours later, despite a night of medication and doctor’s care, Jackson remained awake.

Jackson was repeatedly asking — even demanding — that Murray give him more propofol to help him sleep, the doctor told police. So Murray finally administered 25 milligrams of propofol diluted with lidocaine via Jackson’s IV drip.  The singer now had his “milk,” and it worked. After a restless night, Jackson was finally able to close his eyes and go to sleep.

Murray told police he watched Jackson sleep for about 10 minutes before going to the bathroom. It had been a long night for both of them.  The trip to the bathroom took less than two minutes, Murray told police. But when he came back, he said, he saw Jackson wasn’t breathing.

Sheesh. Michael really couldn’t sleep.  Do you think Dr. Murray will be going to jail over this???

Yes, he needs to go straight to Jail. We dont know what really happened and probaly will never know. MJl is gone and how do we know that docter is telling the truth. It does not matter if MJ wanted more meds, that doc should’ve said no and left…..All those drugs would off killed anybody. Its sad that MJ was on so many meds, but now he can rest in peace………Love you MJ

Are you trying to tell me that if Michael Jackson wanted any drug in the world given to him that he would not have found someone to give it to him?

When you poor, you use a soda can, when you are loaded, you have your own “doctor” administer it.

Him walking away would not have prevented it.

You also have more selection in what drugs you want to take.

How could he? if he was giving meds accordingly (the exception being the anesthesia outside of the OR), why would he face charges? Surely he knows what can and cannot be mixed – hell there are PDR’s that tell you that. And if Dr. Murray didn’t, he would have gotten it the next day from someone else, and likely got the same results.

People should face it – MJ was a DOPE FIEND.

MJ was an addict…even his family tried to do an intervention. This man shouldn’t even see a court house…now practice medicine again…hell no!

Michael Jackson caused all of this on himself.. He was crazy and he brung this upon himself. Now the Dr. has to go to jail for doing what Michael paid him and probably demanded he do….

I love MJ but honestly if not this doctor, it would have been another doctor.

He should go to jail but not for life. Also he shouldn’t be able to practice medicine anymore.

MJ killed himself like most addicts. The doctor shouldn’t do jailtime, but they are scape goating him.

Wow @ all the above comments…

My concern is the damn subtitle on that magazine cover….look at it again…”Life as a Man?!”…what were they implying???…Where is Paul Mooney when you need him?! – “Hollywood Take Things Too Far!”…terrible/

Now…regarding Mj and Dr. Murray – ummm, i dunno how to feel man cause basically MJ had a legal drug dealer…it’s that simple…the real question is who initially introduced to all these types of drugs and WHEN did this start – look into that/

If you or I asked our doctors the same thing we will get a repeated no everytime we ask. Put money and fame in the equation and they all of a sudden forget there oath/ responsibility. A doctors know the consequences and effects they also know what an addiction is. It is their job to say no. If every doctor went saying yes to everyone who wanted meds to feed an addiction more people would die from overdosing than street drugs. Blaming the addict is the excuse for the doctor who forgets the oath he/ or she took.

Regardless that Mike asked for the drugs, the Dr. administered it to him. He should have made Mike take it himself then it would have been self inflicted. But a Dr. should KNOW better. He should do life.
