I love kanye but i honestly like kanye’s old stuff so much better, before he got into that autotune shit. College Dropout and Late Registration were so much better than this 808 shit.
Ok for starters 808 was’nt all that good to me, yeah its success is good seeing as tho its close to 2x platinum, having said that it just did’nt have that umpth. As far as Drake is concerned i feel like he had alot of hype around him, which made peeple more interested in him. Sorry but i dont get all of the hoopla over Drake. Sure he has a couple good songs but thats it. He needs to release a full album, guess what tho Drake is supposed to be releasing a 7 song album real soon at a reasonable price, so lets see how that goes. Now to Wayne he has to prove himself again, he had his moment with the “Lollipop” fiasco and that album was huge and garnered him great acclaim which he deserved, but the follow up to that has not been that impressive. He has gotten like Beyonce too much of him, so now what does he do sign the most talked about rapper to his label which is Drake. Wayne and Ye know that Drake is there main comp rite now so there keeping a close eye on him. Wayne knows that in order to achieve anything near his last success he has to keep up that pop appeal. That rock stuff went well lol… Ye to me purposely messed up Drake’s video which seemed to me to be done out of spite. Anyway so much for that. Jay is classic and classic don’t get old. Ye is genius also. In terms of now Ye just has more material out and has been on the scene recently. So in terms of whats hot now i’d say both !!! It’s just Ye is on the scene now !!!
Anonymous, I did see Ye live at the Nokia Theater in La. Front Row center. I was, as TheLifeFiles like to say, Banoodles. But By hiding the band under the stage, I felt it lacked a live feel and felt more like performance art. Great Performance art. And I know that what he was going for. But ALL of the the Jay Z live shows have moved me more. I’m with Dizzle, Jay-Ye it is. And that’s major for Kanye.
