It’s a complex answer but a vast wealth had a lot do with it, years of dedicated service to their country, and scandal.

I agree with Argie. A family of people who “have” who dedicated thier lives to people who “have not”. Also a great amount of early deaths for a single family. But a great American family for sure.
They actually cared about us.

Joseph Kennedy was one of the few people who made millions during the recession, from movies,alcohol and real estate. He always had an interest in politics and bred his children to become future presidents of the united states. He started with the eldest which was Joseph Jr. but he sadly died while serving in the military, second eldest John became the next one in line to fulfill the dream of a Kennedy as president. With their money and vast resources they were able to get John a seat in the senate and shortly a seat in the oval office. The family tragedies that would follow the assassination of JFK, have created interest from people all over that has ultimately made them America’s most famous family.
