One of New York’s hippest newest hotels is under some pressure from residents in the Meatpacking area of Manhattan who say they have witnessed all types of lude behavior while passing by the hotel despite what we consider to be a low key location…kinda. The NY Post caught up to some residents and here’s some of what they had to say:
“We saw a naked girl jumping up and down on a trampoline right in front of the window.”
“From the street, I saw a man and a woman. Everyone was looking up at them. They were facing outwards, and I could see their backsides pressed up against the window. I thought it was a photo shoot or porn.”
“You hear the cheering, then you look up and see naked people. You get some people that don’t realize. Then you get the real exhibitionists.”
“Recently, I saw a man masturbating in one of the windows. That’s when it left the funny side and moved to the gross, dark side.”
The Standard has not responded to the claims and probably shouldn’t since this is GREAT publicity for them, but they did remove this statement from a company website:
“Whatever you do, just make sure the shots are HOT and that you get them to us in whichever way you can. It’s all about sex all the time, and you’re our star.”
So next time your boss says drinks at The Standard…..bring your camcorder….and a pack of cigarettes, somebody is going to end up getting a raise.

lol These are kind of funny. But about the second comment…how can you see a couple facing outwards if their backsides were pressed up against the wall? Either the commenter very poorly expressed two separate occasions, or he/she is full of SHIT!
