Today when Barack Obama issued his back to school address which stressed the importance of education many students from around the country were not required to hear the speech, with some even being pulled from school by worried parents. This after some conservative politicians and talking heads like Rush Limbaugh decided earlier this month that the speech would basically be some biased garbage that would make your kids hate you and want to convert to the Muslim religion. Well….they didn’t say ALL that but…..
We KNOW the students didn’t care who was speaking…time away from school work is always well spent…especially on the first couple days back! Watch a clip after the jump, but try not to stare directly into his eyes.

I truly don’t understand these idiots, Barack announced on the 26th of last month that he was going to make the speech and the next day people were crying out indoctrination, these idiots need to go sit down somewhere. Do people not realize that the public school system is a form of socialism?

I’m not surprised at all. They don’t want a man of color talking to their kids. Im from KY, if nobdoy could tel,l and right outside of Lousiville they banned it. See, I see it as they can not teach them that all blacks are stupid and other retarded things if they see the President speak the same thing that they try to teach them about being successful. It is a shame that this country is still so far from being together, but I am not surprised. We have a lot of work to do. I almost got angry at the stupid mess, but I was saddened by the stupidity

American history is based under Christianity, whether you believe in it or not – our DOLLARS sake “In GOD we trust”, for God’s sake. People are not sure of a “muslim” president. I you are talking about long time systematic racism, that is what Reverend Wright is talking about. Slavery and Jim Crow have had a long term affect on people of color and still a big part of white America continues to ignore that. I’m sure we will get there once an African-American or Latino IB League college student with a name like Shakeesha Johnson or Elora Martinez who made good grades in high school will not be questioned about whether s/he just got into that school with “Affirmative Action” or a Sports scholarship. (Sort of like the way Sonia btw. What if he WAS a muslim (which he’s NOT)? There are muslim americans you know who died in those 9/11 attacks. There is a difference b/t radical Muslims and Muslims who just practice their religion. Also, the founding fathers were “Deists” at the most, not Christians. They believed in God but believed Jesus was a teacher and that the world operated like a machine (aka. God built it and left it to run by itself)
“Congress shall make no law respecting and establishment of religion…”Calling it a “Christian nation” (as in only Christians are Americans) is against the constitution. “…or prohibiting the practice thereof.” You have the right to practice your religion whether it be Christianity, Islam, Judaism, Hinduism, Buddhism, or what ever, but you cannot force your religious beliefs on others. People do not like Obama because he tells it like it is. When he said “We are no longer a Christian Nation”, he did not mean that no one can practice Christianity anymore, but he meant that there are other people of other beliefs that need to be included and by saying we are a Christian nation (meaning one religion over all of them is REALLY American) is exclusive.
The money originally said “Out of many, one”, meaning we are melting pot of many things ethnicities, religions, etc., but during the Cold War the money (along with the Pledge of Allegiance was printed to say “In God we Trust” and “One Nation Under God” I really don’t think that stuff is a big deal, but I think some people often forget or need to wake up to the fact that not everyone is like you in a lot of ways or has lived the same life you have. Obama, whether you like him or not, tells it like it is. We need to learn other languages and worry less about whether immigrants learn English, we need to open up to the fact that our world is changing and multiculturalism IS sustainable.
BTW. If you really think EDUCATION is indoctrination and Brain washing, I guess we’ll have to get rid of all the school and books we have. All this time I thought education was power.
