“He’s Just A Super-Passionate Person” – Jay-Z On Kanye West!

jay

In an interview with BBC Radio 1 in London - Jay-Z spoke about the Kanye West MTV VMA incident calling him a super passionate person.  He also went on to say:

Of course it was rude because it was her moment but that’s the way he really felt.” But he added, “I think it was rude but the way they’re treating him… He’s on the cover of every paper. He didn’t kill anybody. No one got harmed.”

We’d have to agree with Jay-Z on this one….

That’s not a friend, a friend will tell you when you’re wrong and when you’re right and explain why. Not make excuses for you because you’re “passionate” as I’m sure many people are about their craft. But this wasn’t even about Kanye at the time. Yes, someone did get hurt, the young lady who won the dang on award! This is why Kanye keep doing dumb sh*t, because people keep thinking it’s “not that serious”. It’s about Respect, and when it comes to Respect….it’s VERY serious.

I agree it was rude, but Jay is right. It was in bad taste, it was disrespectful, but should he lose his livelyhood because of it? I’m sure you’ve been rude to someone before. I’m sure you’ve hurt someones feelings before. I’m sure you’ve offended someone before. These folks are still human beings. They are just seen and heard by the world all of the time. So lets not be so hard on people about things that we ourselves are guilty of every day!

Leezy, yes we all fall short, but you, me and anyone else didn’t jump on the stage, so I’m keeping the focus on the individual who did it. I’m not saying Ye’ should be black-balled out of the industry for it. I’m just saying stop making excuses for flat out disrespectful behavior. He messed up, he apologized and NOW he feels what people have been trying to tell him for the longest time, and I think he understands that.Either way Kanye can do whatever he pleases, it’s his life. I dont’ lose sleep over it, that’s just my opinion about what happened and Jay’s response.

I agree with Jay! Ye’s face is all over everything as if he raped the girl.I think what he DID was the wrong way to DO it! But his opinion is his. Those are different things.

Oh F*cking well she got her feelings hurt.I got mine hurt yesterday in Wal-Mart by my mom.Its life, suck it up and move on.

Friend don’t throw friends under the bus in public. They tell them how they feel in private. That’s a friend.

Besides Ye’ knew he went about it wrong when he handed her back the mic.It was all over his face!!

Here here! I agree! He’s. Clearly going through some ill shit right now.. I think we should just pray for him to find clarity.” In the end we will not remember the evil of our enemies …but the silence of our friends” jay better had held him down in public.. Thts. A class act! .

Her feelings got hurt… but people hurt feelings all the time. you shake it off and move on. Just like T Swizzy did. She thanked her fans, thats all she wanted to do she said. Its over

Kanye is passionate as can be. You can’t cap that shit; he has no censors. I respect him for that.

Like Jay said, it was rude.

It was extremely rude, and if people keep giving him a pass it will only get worst. That’s why I say he deserved all the backlash he’s recieved. Hopefully this was his wakeup call and the last of his childish antics.

I agree.. and I thought rudeness went hand in hand with having respect and he didn’t show he had any respect. Passionate or not…you didn’t see B jumping up their..and it was HER video and we all see how passionate she is about her work as much as she works.

Everyone’s passion level is different. Plus, passion mixed with alcohol is an awful combination, but I do think people are putting way too much emphasis on this. Simon cowell, is rude to young kids all over the country on national television every week. He shatters people’s dreams in front of millions of people and noone is calling for his resignation. noone is even asking him for an apology. In fact, he is adored for it! Granted, Kanye should have waited until it was his moment to express his opinion, but he didn’t slap her, he didn’t rape her, he didn’t even address her. He embarrassed her. In my book, thats not national news. Get over it! It happens! Disrespect is calling the president of the U ited

We can agree to disagree…I can respect your opinion. We just have different views…no biggie.

Common Sense 09/18/2009 at 4:03 PM

Simon is getting paid to do a job that requires him to give his opinion, no matter how raw it may be. Kanye wasn’t asked or even put in a position to offer up his opinion and the way in which he chose to do it blew up in his face. Just like we can’t control what comes out of Kanye’s mouth, is the same way Kanye can’t control how people will react or how long it will take them to get over it.

Being rude and having respect it Two different things.Which is why I agree with Jay! People be smart and look up what the two words mean.

You can reply to me, because I said it. I didn’t say they meant the same thing…I said they go hand in hand. Either way, we don’t agree and that’s okay. We can agree to disagree.

This is why I LOVE JAY-Z…I am sure he told Kanye he was wrong for what he did….but that is his man…I hope he told bewaveable that she ain’t captain save a ho…cause she brought the shit right back up at the end of the show trying to distance herself from Kayne who is his world he was taking up for beweaveable!

She is not a rider or die chick Jay! Kayne didn’t beat a woman as chris B*tch ass brown did…but they hatin on him as if he did…you all were so willing to let a woman beater ride…so let Kanye do his healing and leave him alone…I personally think he is really hurting form the lose of his mom….now who can’t understand that.

The truth is if Swift wasn’t an all american apple-pie goddess and some chick like fantasia or if it wasn’t Kanye but eminem, there would not have been such an uproar.

Its not that serious people, nobody died, got raped or even touched jeeeeeeez!

Lol @ Cookie.
Beweaveable? Genius.

To everyone else – She won the award at the MTV VMA’s. We all know that this decade they have been known to show more reality shows with music in the background or during the credits of a show and not the music videos. MTV is lame now and yeah he interrupted her rudely but in reality it is just the MTV VMA’s. Who watches that channel today? Mostly teens as in teenage girls. Plus most of them have a bad taste in music and most of the nominees at the VMA’s (MUSIC AND MOVIE AWARDS) aren’t really an interesting group of innovators but a not so talented bunch of individuals who aren’t really inspiring (IMO). Only during the VMA’s is when a variety of individuals watch the channel but seriously the award shows suck too. This is most likely the last time Kanye will probably go on stage and be rude because of all the bad press and loss of respect he is receiving from the Swift incident.

But overall HOV is right. We all fuck up at some point where it affects us a lot but all we can do is be positive, apologize for our actions, and find someway to move ahead. Dude will always be looked at as a bad person because he raps but he is a good person who just needs to get his shit together. His mom died, he was once engaged and it was broke off, and yeah the guy has been through a lot these past two years. I hope he can continue to be a good artist and that he can become more humble and modest because that will def. help him in the future.
