According to Shyne’s lawyer Oscar Michelen who just spoke to MTV rebutting the story of the rapper being released today after a 10-year sentence and more than 9-years served confirmed by CBS News:
“Shyne is currently in federal custody while his future immigration status is determined. I think [the basis for the rumor] was created by a computer…because the Department of Corrections has a Web site where you can do an inmate lookup. And if you have the information, it will show you that [Shyne's] earlier release date was originally April [of this year] and then June. And we don’t now how that was in there. But it showed that. And then what would happen is before a release date, [an inmate] would get produced before a parole board, and in the institution, there would be rumors that [Shyne] was up for parole. I guess inmates or guards would spread the rumor.”
So basically his release in under review and he’s being held by the U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement in Brooklyn who is trying to decide if they are going to deport him Belize, his birthplace. The legal system is going to build this guy’s anticipation up so high….he could make Reggaeton!

ok usually I only post on footewear posts (sneaker or shoes) but this caught my attention. the hold up is immigration? so if he gets out he may just get kicked out of the country? wow.
STILL, I just saw his first CD yesterday and wondered if he was out yet, DAMN. They should let him stay, he paid his debt to society.
