911 is for emergency calls ONLY!!! There is a phone number to call to report non-emergencies to the police. Now if the alleged perpetrator was at the scene and Usher felt threatened then certainly 911 should be called. Under no circumstances is property damage an emergency unless there is some type of bodily harm caused during the damage of the property.
Suppose you were trying to call 911 because your sick child was dying and you couldn’t get through because Usher is reporting a scratched car – how would you feel?
Only Tameka knows if she scratched the car and I’m not defending her at all – I just want Usher to realize this was an inappropriate use of 911!!!! Next time reserve the use of 911 for real emergencies!!!!

In what part of that 911 call did you hear anything about his mother? He said from the beginning of the conversation he was calling to report his vehicle being keyed. The operator asked if this was a call about property damage and he affirmed.
Again – 911 is for EMERGENCIES!!! Scratches to a vehicle is not an emergency. People should realize the difference between valuing human life and property.
Again we don’t know if Tameka actually did damage to the car and neither does Usher because he did not witness her doing it. There was an alleged altercation between them the night before so he assumes she did the damage. Only Tameka knows if she did scratch the vehicle and if she did she will be held accountable. My issue is not whether she scratched the car or not, my issue is the improper use of 911. People are calling 911 reporting wrong orders at fast food restaurants and other petty stuff when 911 should be reserved for EMERGENCY use only.
They need to fine him for his misuse of 911. There is a phone number to call for non-emergencies when you want to make a police report. And to add insult to the importance of 911 Usher puts the operator on hold!!! Again I pose the question what if you were trying to get through because someone close to you was in need of emergency response and couldn’t get through because Usher is reporting scratches – how would you feel?
