On the November 2009 cover of Savvy magazine (never heard of of it) where she discusses her career, fashion and upcoming album:

“This record is the least amount of pop-rock I’ve ever written or recorded. It’s more stripped down, more raw, more acoustic. This record is really about the music and the songs, the quality and the vocal performance and capturing the emotion.”

Least amountof pop-rock I’ve ever written, yeah because someone else write’s it for you. Such a wannabe, give me Karen O from Yeah Yeah Yeahs anyday.

Clearly Aaron you don’t know what your talking about, Avril is very involved in the writing process and Avril wrote much of this album by herself. Karen O is OK but she hardly compares to Avril’s first two albums, talk to me when she does something memorable.

Avril’s heavily involved with every aspect of her albums – she’s even produced for this album! (Which is a first for Avril) and another first, she’s putting songs on the album that were completely written without co-writers.
Give her a chance and quit assuming she’s some faker.
Can’t wait for the new album! The interview for this magazine was pretty good, and contains a great photoshoot.
