where I’m from….it means somebody just got robbed for their shoes,but that was such a long time ago in my younger days….who know’s what it means now…..I’m out the hood

In the south of Spain it means there´s a Hash/Coke/Heroin spot in the block, even cops know it but they are run by gypsies that have the cops paid, it´s like a traffic sign so you dont get lost.
How can it means someone got robbed for their sneakers? You rob the sneakers and then throw them up there? Why you rob them in the first place then? You are not suposed to keep them once you rob them? Dont get it.
it really just meant: I Was Here. that’s all. All these goofies acting like it means drugs, a gang killing, and all the other shit don’t know what it really was about. It was a source of pride to just be in some of the rougher neighborhoods. It simply means: I Was Here and I want to be remembered for being here.
