Michael Jordan’s Sons Feet Are Kinda A Big Deal…

The University of Central Florida has just lost a reported $3 million dollar endorsement deal wit Adidas after M.J.’s freshman son Marcus Jordan wore a pair of his dads shoes during an exhibition game on Wednesday saying he will only wear his dads shoes because they have special meaning to the family.  UCF which was in the last year of a 5-year deal with Adidas has released a statement saying they were disappointed.

Should he have taken one for the team or did he do the right thing by keeping the Jordan flag waved high???

he should have taken one 4the team.

who the F*CK does he think he is?
if i was the school i would sue his ass, brech of contract or something.

HOW’s ABOUT…he makes his OWN college &then he can decide some rules.
if his dad’s name is so important tell his company to sign a 3mill deal w/ the school — or better yet DONATE 3mill.
…ddnt think so.

&to top it off he’s a FRESHMEN?
i would’ve personally walked on the court &drug his ass off myself.

Wow! So you would assault someone over the shoes they are wearing? What is really going on with our society?

Ok, so I bet it’s not the shoe that you’re loyal to. I bet it’s not the company (Adidas) that you’re loyal to. So let me guess…..humm…..it’s the $3 million dollars that you want the school to keep. Ok so let’s go with that assumption that you’re assaulting a student over money.

But instead of taking it out on the student why don’t we focus on Adidas and see what their motive is. Is Adidas’ motive to support a college in their pursuit to educate students? Or is Adidas’ motive to get advertising? Since Adidas is a “for profit” company – I will make another assumption that their motive is advertising.

When did universities become billboards? I thought universities were institutions of higher learning (this is a rhetorical question)? So instead of Lil Jordan focusing on his education first and sports second – now he has additional pressure of the public scrutinizing his foot apparel.

I’m really SMH at how much society is dumbing down over sports, music, and other entertainment. Let’s start a movement to bring common sense back!!!

Took one for the team and also make his own name have meaning, not just known as Micheal Jordon’s son.

Let’s keep in mind, the team could have easily cut, red shirted, or otherwise not dressed out MJ’s seed… obviously they have something to gain by his presence as well… this story is always worded very deceptively. don’t be fooled.

LOL ….@ the comments…….I don’t know for certain what Addidas thought was going to happen…..hell he is Jordan’s son……Nike is a forgone conclusion…he was bound to wear Jordans……the school knew it …..they will recoup that $3mil easy……stay focused people .

This guy is arrogant. He knew he was going to an Adidas school and knew what would happen if he wore Jordans during NCAA events. He shouldn’t have gone to school there. Now he is just creating a huge distraction for the team. What a bum….

Don’t hate. If your dad was Jordan I’m sure you would have done the EXACT same thing! ALL of you!

Honestly the school did take a hit after loosing a 3 million dollar deal with Adidas, but think about it……He is Jordan’s son and he can create a shoe for his team and also have his father endorse them!

If I was his son I would have had the whole team wear a FRESH pair of J’s. I guarantee UCF will be sponsored by Jordan at some point

Is this really news? Should we be that upset about this school losing a SHOE deal? I thought colleges were about education not advertising?!

Ok, so now that Adidas has freed up that money they were sending to this school. How about they donate – yes DONATE (not have a contract for advertising) to a school that is struggling financially in order to keep our children in college. There are many deserving universities, especially HBCU’s that are in need of financial assistance.

THANKS ADIDAS – WE’RE LOOKING FORWARD TO YOUR SUPPORT!!!

In addition – instead of us dogging out Lil Jordan let us remember that EVERY student on that team should be able to wear his choice of shoes. Stop allowing these corporations to buy us! Ya’ll wilding out over this young man standing up saying he needs to take one for the team – take what?! What he owes to this team is hard work, practice, team spirit – let’s remember it’s just a sport! Keep things in perspective!

So for that, Jordan needs to furnish that school with shoes, and endorsements. He could have told his son it was okay to put the shoes on.

First off who does the school think they are to tell him what shoes he can and cannot wear. Maybe if he was aware of this before he signed to the team. The school is just upset cause they lost that $$$. I say loyality to family is more important than the school. After all, is the school gonna change their mind about something just because he doesn’t like it. DEFINITELY….. NOT!
