So Rihanna has finally told her complete side of the incident that occurred between her and her then boyfriend Chris Brown on the night of the Grammy Awards. We learned that Rihanna did not hit Chris Brown that night as was speculated, her father regulary abused her mother when she was younger and when she did finally try to patch things up with Chris Brown “everything about him annoyed me…so finally i just said ‘we can’t continue to do this’ .”
Rihanna also seems like she hasn’t been keeping track with any of the stuff Chris has been putting out online saying she has never heard his “apology song” Changed Man and watching his video apology only for the first time with Diane Sawyer and commenting “it looks like he was reading from a teleprompter.”

As i said before we will never know the real story . She is still hiding alot of what they both did to each other. My firm believe is that these two rich kids got out of hand and it came to blows. She wanted a serious relationship , and he still wanted to play in the play ground. They both are still young and have alot to learn. I wish them the best and may god be with them both.
I agree. – you are so on target! I believe a lot of things have been left unsaid, as well.
Now that they have moved on, we should too.
wow…..I am glad she decided to be a role model in the end though…gotta love RiRi
She didn’t decide to be a role model until after her fans started bashing her for going on vacation with him after the fight. She is still not a role model for me because a real woman wouldn’t waste her time trying to make someone else look bad, she would be trying to get him help and move on with her life and leave him alone. I believe that they got into an arguement that started a fight between them. Am I taking his side, no. But, I was always taught that there are two sides to every story and you can’t just listen to one persons side. Nor can you believe that one party caused the problem. They both need to help each other not talk bad about one another. Stop the ignorance and stop trying to make her look like a hero, because she’s far from one. Especially with the way she’s acting now. Hero my behind.
Rihanna did a superb job doing this interview. Not because she revealed what happened that night (unlike somebody), but because she gave direct answers with knowledge. I loved it, and I even gained more respect for her. She still sexxy azz hell too (sorry but I had 2 throw that in). What I don’t understand is, how come a man is provoked to physically batter a woman. That isn’t love? I been with only a few girls and not one time I’ve thought about putting humps in her head and blackened her eye (although I wanted 2 put tape on her mouth lol). And I was provoked many times, but I dare not raise my hand to back slap her bcuz her family and the females in MY FAMILY will be on my ass…and bcuz that’s not my character.
I love her interview, yes I believe everything she says, and yes I believe she wasn’t to give even more details bcuz it was only a thirty minute interviews. But she did answer ALL of the important questions (unlike somebody).
omg, seems like u read my mind. unlike somebody she didnt try to not answer the questions. lol
I love Rihanna… and her honesty. she was so mature and honest during the entire interview
It’s me again…excuse some of the grammar and sentence errors from the previous comment bcuz I was rushing. Like, the last couple of sentence doesn’t make sense but u get the gist of it.
i thought the interview was amazing and she did answer most of the questions people were searching for. i have nothing but great respect for her and this interview only made me respect her more. its hard to get through something like that and shes taking it day by day and hopefully women all around can follow in her footsteps. thank you rihanna for your strength to move on from this and thank you for being a role model to the women still in need…
I think the interview was AMAZING… I think this is the most i’ve heard her talk since she’s been in the industry! Overall I have respect for her as a artist, who knows exactly what happened.. but all in all — you have to move forward & it’s good she’s not holding like any major grudges on Chris Brown ; he’s an amazing vocalist/artist but as in any bad situation a good situation comes out of it. Rihanna and Chris Brown will move forward and have success!
the reason why we want to forgive them both, to just brush the situation under the rug is bc they are so young, they have their future ahead of them. this is a private issue that they both had to live out in the open. as we hold them responsible for their actions in the future lets not pigeon hold them both to this incident. he has a new track to build to get his train back rolling, lets give him a chance… and she doesn’t want to be seen as a victim (i personally believe she’s a victor but he can be too). but we as a community must realize they are our entertainers and they have entertained us for months but it’s time to turn the channel or for some turn off the tv altogether and move forward.
i wish them both closure and success again.
waiting for this interview for quite sometime! and it aint even all that! fuck!
her fault for goin down that road!
This is bullshit. She needs to own up to her violent history of slapping Chris and breaking his shit…. She deserved the beating she got.
^^do u beat up woman?
MUCH RESPECT to our girl Rihanna for telling what happened to her, and doing so in hopes of letting another young girl know that fist in your face is NOT LOVE!
If nothing else, I’m glad that this incident has sparked the domestic violence dialogue among young people. These discussions have been quite revealing about black youth and clearly depict the overwhelming amount of low self-esteem among the women. The fact that domestic violence is probably way more common than any of us thought is very scary. I know everyone can’t and won’t be saved. But hopefully the Chris & Rihanna situation will eventually open more eyes and help more women, young and old, to not blame themselves, or justify, excuse, and sweep domestic violence under the rug. And encourage more to actually seek help, not only for themselves but for their kids and our futures.
And again: very sad story, I really wish her all the best for the future!
“Hell hath no fury, Like a woman scorned!” a few things I learned about this interview: (1) Chris is a dumb-ass, you got caught cheating & spazzed out. (2) Rihanna’s well on her way to becoming a great actress, she was not having a candid conversation SHE KNEW what questions would be asked, so she had her answers ready & if you notice Diane Sawyer filled in the answers for her! (3) She admitted that she puts on a “front” so people can’t see her pain (children of abuse are good a doing this because if there’s abuse in the home you have to have a “game face” for when you go to school, so even though she was hurt she clearly wanted to appear as the more “mature one” between her & chris. (4) She lied, if she was so concerned for young girls she would’ve went around the country speaking to kids @ schools, (Hell T.I. did it & he STILL went to jail!) she took chris back but then she pulled a “J-Lo” & decided her career & endorsements may diminish if she stayed with him (So you let your fans decide who you should & shouldn’t fall in love with?) Obviously she’s still pissed that he cheated & not only that she got her ass whooped for slapping an admission out of him. I just would’ve respected her more if she had spoke out months ago or remained silent it’s just too much of a coincidence that she has a album coming out so she’s “strong enough” to speak out. Chris did a fucked up thing but he is clearly “manning up” & trying to get better, Rihanna is not a therapist so how can you throw him under the bus for falling victim to the same drug (FAME) that you fell victim to? She didn’t speak out after they broke up, she partied, hung out & probably slept with a few guys to get over chris, I’m willing to bet she’s not mad @ chris for beating her, she’s hurt cause she was in love & he cheated. All in all it was 2 hours of my life I’ll never get back, Chris will be put in the category of Ike Turnner, R. Kelly & even MJ but he’ll still have a bright career, Rihanna will continued to be worshiped like a Martyr like Tina Turner And they both will continue to live off their favorite drug of choice (FAME) and we’ll all still be there for the ride, all while thinking our own lives are boring & un-exciting!
and you wasted 45 seconds of mine reading this.lol
Great interview. I wish Rihanna well. See is a very strong, smart young lady. She will recover from this & continue to excel in her career.
Sorry if I made anyone feel as though I am condoning what chris did, cause i’m NOT! I just don’t want people (Namely women making a hero out of this girl, when she clearly could’ve used this unfortunate situation to further positive dialogue instead of her new album sales. and chris as well No I don’t condone what he did but she’s not the first to get lumped up & she won’t be the last, AND BTW NOBODY TOOK A ASS WHOPPING WORSE THAN JESUS! SO STOP WORSHIPING CELEBS, WHEN U DON’T EVEN WORSHIP HIM!
still don’t believe she did nothing… blink blink bill clinton… but they are young… they will grow… chris is a young kat… ithink she is still pissed because he is not submitting to her…. they are not goood for each other now…. god bless.
Any type of abuse, physical or verbal in any relationship is wrong, that’s a given and NO ONE deserves it (no gender bias). While I’m not fan of celebrities as role models, I get it, but a spade is a spade and what we all really wanted was to “know”, to judge and to be satiated with details of a very fk’d up situation.. And then of course there’s the impeccable timing of this all..
Chris Brown is NOW ChriShit
