What give you the right to call someone a whore, lots of artist have pose in less, for crying out loud Beyonce was in her panties the other day at the EMA, Gaga is always in her underwear, Serena posed naked the other day as well.Why do some of you people have such a double standard, or is it just for people you don’t like.
Rihanna’s first interview on what happened the night of Feb 8 aired on Friday night and now too many people want to attack her—the victim. Unbelievable. She was the one who was beaten relentlessly too damn near unconsciousness. You wanna know what happened that night, try googling the police report. Yeah it started with a text which led to argument which led to Brown holding Ri-Ri captive in the car with him and beatin’ her continually while he was drivin’. Eventually after her screams were heard, Brown got out of the car and left his bloody and battered girlfriend there. Why do people insist to hang on to the theory that there’s something else to this that justified Chris’ actions? I’ll tell you what it is. It’s prejudice. Racism. Rihanna is Bajan. Speaks with an accent. She’s a crazed Island woman who musta said some crazy heinous things to him. She put hands on him first. She tossed his blackberry out the window. Even if she did all those things, it still doesn’t justify Brown’s prolonged attack. How much does Ri-Ri weigh anyway? There’s a difference between defending yourself and brutalizing someone. Men know their own strength. Brown lost control. By all indications, this isn’t the first incident between the two—just the ugliest one. Let’s also take a look at the fact that plenty of African-American females are riding with Chris because he’s more of a traditional R&B artist. He’s our young MJ. The pin-up poster child. Master vocalist, dancer, performer. Ri-Ri delved into the urban market with “Umbrella” and will do the same with her new joint with Jeezy, but she’s more of a mainstream, club music artist. She’s a favorite of the gay community. She’s the “Pon De Replay” girl turned Pop Princess. Their images play a major role in the public’s perception of this saga. Let’s just hope the end result of all this is that we’re all beginning to gain some closure. The more they both speak, the more I realize how young and impressionable they both are. It’s hard enough to deal with fame, yet alone the idea that this situation has thrust them both into the pressure-filled position of being role models. Actions speak louder than words and they both should agree to no longer address the incident. And Chris should go back to pickin’ up garbage.
