We love Curb Your Enthusiasm, but Kramer didn’t nail this scene….nice try though.  In an attempt to make light of the incident in a night club a while back where he went crazy on a black person in the audience of his comedy show eventually calling him something that rhymes with swigger on this weekend’s Curb Kramer is just about to get mad at Leon when he notices everyone has pulled out their camera phone and is taping him.  Check out the video after the jump and let us know what you think.

its not funny. the point is he was still thinking of the word. even if he said “boy” it would still be in a condescending tone sooo karmer can go kick a rock.

The guy is not racist. Come on people don’t be that uptight. Michael Richards wouldn’t survive as a comedian if he was racist. Comedians often take it too far when they’re testing out the waters. Give the guy a break already.

It’s obvious his rant was mainly about frustration at his own inability to handle the heckler and a real sensitivity to the heckler’s comments. The episode parodies that scenario clumsily and because of the incident’s real life consequences (career-ruining shitstorm), it seems too close to home and fails to hit the mark comedy-wise. It goes to show that Larry David, while a great comedy writer, does have his limitations; although for that matter I doubt anyone could have possibly handled it much better.
