Here are two newly released images from The Karate Kid remake movie starring Jaden Smith as “Dre” and Jackie Chan as “Mr. Han.” The original Karate Kid movie was made in 1984.

Will be interesting to see what the end product looks like. Not a fan of them remaking the movie, but I like Jackie Chan & Jaden Smith was really good in the Pursuit Of Happyness.

People braid hair to tame it. Given that the Smiths elect not to cut it, there needs to be a way to contain it. Hence the braids. Plus, it keeps out the tangles.

What’s wrong with the braids or the name Dre? I don’t see an issue with either. Hopefully this will be a good remake, as Aaron said Jaden did an excellent job in Pursuit of Happyness. Jackie is the perfect teacher – his martial arts is like a dance it’s so beautiful.
I’m not a fan of this remake either but I don’t have a problem with his braids or his name.

Ok so Y r People complaining about them remakin this movie….The Karate Kid was like ALMOST 30 YEARS AGO MOVE ON AND GET OVER IT!!! I think thats its smart to bring back a refurbished product of the old…it keeps it alive and if it sucks IT SUCKS JUS GO BACK AND WATCH THE OLD ONE DAMN!!!!

I am very proud of Jaden Smith and the dedication he has put into the movie! I am glad that both his parents let him become apart of this amazing production, they are nice people too. It has always been my dream to finally meet him one day- if i am luck, not even a day- an hours gud enough!
