Check out this hot footage of 50 Cent and the G-Unit team in Paris, France promoting Before I Self Destruct. In the clip 50 tells a french reporter that he has sold more records in four years than Jay-Z’s fifteen year career and Tony Yayo does a little shopping.

Not in the same league, don’t shoot at the same baskets

One hit wonders (In da Club) and artists who’s careers start off with them selling millions and millions of records their first time out… usually have a hard time matching or surpassing that immediate success and almost always wind up falling off and fading to black around the 3rd and 4th album. Jigga has only consistently gotten better with time and has already solidified his place in history as the best alive for 10 cd’s straight. 50′s only claim to fame are PAST recod sales.

I’d rather sell my records in the beginning than at the end. Who wants to rap for 15 years besides Jay-Z?

Jay-Z had some rough times in his career too. Don’t tell me you forgot about Vol 3, Dynasty, Blueprint 2 & 2.1, & that second RKelly bullshit LP…those were not multi platinum hits. Please!!!!

But all of em went platinum. and bp2 and dynasty and vol. 3 all went multi plat!

Numbers do lie too just tell most of the companies on the index & it looks like The Unit is doing just fine in Europe.

I think most rappers would rather choose humble beginings and longevity over immediate gratification and sudden fade outs. Of course they try to down play it as they’re burning out, but most rappers dream of being able to consistently sell gold, platinum and multi-platinum records throughout their entire careers, make power moves, build & maintain respect, get paid out the ass, and still be loved and adored by old & new fans 15 years later. So far Jay-Z has been the only one to do it…and niggas are aggy lol.

@johnny Blaze that statement you made doesn’t make sense….who doesn’t want a career that lasts 15 years of allowing you to make money and do what you love and open doors for others to walk into….like c’mon dude you really cant believe that, and check your facts again Vol 3 was certified 3x plat. Dynasty is certified 2x plat, BP2 pushed 545k in its first week to go on to platinum status, BP2.1 was not an album it was a compilation of the 2 discs of BP 2, but still went Gold, and finally the Best of Both Worlds Unfinished business is certified plat

Fiveo please shut the hell up and do some fact searchin. 50 is played and has been for quite some time. Notice Jay hasn’t responded to this clown nigga because it’s nothing for him to talk about. 50 wish he was pushing that kind of money and had as many hits a Jay.
