Looks like Gosiaa was right….kinda..! Interesting Soundscan numbers this week makes us think that young people don’t buy albums…right?

1. Susan Boyle 700,779

2. Andrea Bocelli 217,569 (up 17% from last week)

3. Adam Lambert 198,466

4. Rihanna 180,890

5. Lady Gaga 173,515

Susan Boyle is getting the last laugh straight to the bank….what was the last CD you actually went inside of a store and purchased???

I have a huge collection of CD’s, I listen to a few tracks off an album, if it’s good I’ll go n kop that but if there only a few good ones and the rest filler then I’ll just keep the good ones.

I download A LOT! Its because of my financial situation, the EASY accessibility to get ANY album by a few clicks and my love for music all rolled into one. I know its so wrong but its a drug and I as well as other people cannot not stop! I been “bootleggin’” music since dubbing tapes in the 80’s. Its basically the same as downloading just on a broader scale. Hey I didn’t invent the mp3, and disc burning. Music aficionados did! Still that is no excuse right?

The last album I purchased was Foreign Exchange-Leave It All Behind…and it wasn’t even for me!

We need to buy more CD’s.. They are novles.. The booklets inside and the actually songs tell a whole story.. This isnt true for Adam Lambert but Mos Def does it Jay does it.. They tell stories.. The shins, Monsters of Folk, John Mayer, BlakRoc, The Black keys… Start buying CD’s and real music pleasee!!! NOT Susan Boyle!!!

The most recent album’s I’ve purchased in stores are:

Ghostdini “Wizard of Poetry” (I purchased it directly from Ghost at his show in the SF Bay Area…got him 2 sign it as well so technically I didn’t buy it in store but regardless it wasn’t bootlegged or burned)

Ryan Leslie “Transition” (awesome album; copped it the day it dropped)

Rae “Only Built 4 Cuban Links Pt. 2″ (dope album; copped it the day it dropped as well)

Clyde Carson “Bass Rock” (Oakland/Bay Area rapper)

Em “Relapse”

That’s all I can think of.

Last albums I bought were Maxwell and John Mayer’s new CDs.

I still buy CD because I like to get the album art and for security, if my computer crashes, I won’t have to worry about my music being gone.
