According to ABC News:
The man shot and killed [on the night before his wedding] after cops say he tried to run them over following a night of partying at a strip club, could soon have a street named after him. “Sean Bell Way” could be the new name for a portion of Liverpool Street in the Jamaica section of Queens.
That’s where Bell was killed, and his two friends wounded, during a hail of 50 police bullets 2 years ago. A city council committee will vote Thursday on the proposed name change, along with 67 others.
Last year, a judge acquitted three detectives of all charges in the Bell case, so we think this would be a classy move by the city. YOU????

after drinking it up in the same bar the police fire 50 shots at unarmed men in a car. one cop even runs out of bullets, reloads and empties another clip… without one shot being fired back. This woman loses a husband, her daughter a father… and all the cops get off…. no punishment or reprimand doled out but let’s name a street after him… get the f*** outta my face!!!!
Is this the BEST they can do???!!! Had this been something minor…then I could see. But this was RUTHLESS! Those cops went HARD and I don’t think a street named after him is in the LEAST way acceptable. The fact that the cops got off and shit like this IS STILL happening, THAT is what needs to be addressed. Fuck that, I wanted JUSTICE then and I STILL WANT IT NOW. This was a terrible act, and I hope the cops involved have nightmares and have to look over their shoulders in fear for the rest of their lives. Because this shit is ridiculous… oh yeah, shout out to Tiger and NFL and NBA….you still a NI&&A even with your white wives.
