The Washington Post Calls The BlackBerry “One Of The Worst Ideas Of The Decade”!

The device people love to hate……according to the article:

The modern BlackBerry, which dates to 2002 (a two-way pager by the same name came to market in 1999), has evolved into something sleek and handy and almost discreet. Using it is like taking an electronic cigarette break. The problem is, we’re all e-mail chain-smokers now. Anytime a moment opens up, we fill it with e-mail.

The BlackBerry starts by infiltrating your morning. Then e-mailing replaces reading on your commute. Next you have it under the table at meetings; surely no one notices your thumbs clicking. Finally, it winds up at your bedside.

Do you agree???

They need to elaborate more b/c if it’s just distraction by constant emailing you can say that about any phone. I was e-mailing all the time on my old phone which wasn’t a smart phone. Now I have a BB and I’m not anymore occupied with it, it’s just simply more efficient.

well, i have a android phone (the htc eris) an it eats blackberry and iphones lunch daily.
blackberries are good for d-boys considering their text are stored on a server in canada! (though the FBI could get them if they REALLLY wanted to) other than that, useless dumbphones.
