It was rather shocking to find out that the famed New York City restaurant Tavern On The Green will serve its last meals on December 31st.  The restaurant once held the title of America’s highest grossing restaurant when it peaked three years ago plating 700,000 meals annually and generating $38 Million in revenue per year.

The restaurants $8 Million dollar debt will be paid of by auctioning the furniture inside including Tiffany stained glass and Waterford chandeliers.

A new restaurant owner is in talks to take over the space in March, but using the name Tavern On The Green has not been finalized.

WOW!
