17 year old Miley Cyrus talks about being a role model in the February 2010 issue of Harper’s Bazaar magazine. She says:
“My job is to be a role model, and that’s what I want to do, but my job isn’t to be a parent. My job isn’t to tell your kids how to act or how not to act, because I’m still figuring that out for myself. So to take that away from me is a bit selfish. Your kids are going to make mistakes whether I do or not. That’s just life.”

I can’t believe that I’m actually saying this…but yea, I agree with her.
It’s fucked up, but these days our society has more of an “every man for himself” state of mind than a “it takes a village” so parents need to catch a clue, cut off the tv, monitor computer usage, get to really know their kids and be the main role models for their own children.

She is 100% right. I like Miley a lot and I really don’t get why folks are hating on her so much but she has a lot of sense in her and she’s not trying to be fake. She’s a teenager and she’s bound to make mistakes!

most def. even though im not a big fan of miley cyrus…i gotta say..for someone who’s growin up in the spotlight…she’s doin pretty well. her parents have taught her good morals. its the media that makes her look bad. but good for her, she’s standing up for what she believes in and doesn’t keep her mouth shut like most celebrities.
