Imagine being a designer at ad agency Arnold Worldwide and coming home to find this voicemail on your answering machine after posting some work you did for Ocean Spray which wasn’t supposed to be leaked on your personal site.
But imagine the smirk on your face when you somehow leak this voicemail to a website, acidentally of course, and Ocean Spray has to issue this statement:
I’d like to address the unfortunate circumstances that led to this blog posting on Agency Spy. Ocean Spray would like to apologize to Dan for the voicemail left on his answering machine, which is not indicative of Ocean Spray’s values. We will, of course, also be contacting him directly to apologize in person.
If there are additional concerns, please contact us on our hotline at 800-662-3263.
Thank you.

We think the voicemail was harsh, but leaking company designs for a product that might not even be on shelves yet – FIRED!!!!!! What do you say????

You’re FIRED! Bonehead.
I didn’t think it was necessary for Ocean Spray to issue an apology.
But there’s probably more to this story. I don’t think a “professional” designer would do such a thing.
