They tried it in 1996 and only 4,000 people bit, then they introduced Times Select in 2007 for $50 bucks a year and about 200,000 people subscribed, now the New York Times is saying they will give charging the little guy one more try when they start charging web users next year for full access to their website. The company will now monitor how many articles you read a month and when you reach a certain number, you will have to pay to go any further.
From what we know you guys are NOT paying…right?

back to my saying “everything is free and privacy is dead!”
Fcuk outta here! Papers have been surviving for years through advertising and can continue to do so. It’s simply GREED to start charging ppl to go on websites now, and if they start it, everyone will follow and that my friends will be a very sad day…
