He’s just rapping… Still trying his “new” image out… Funny thing is.. it’ll probably work for him.

He’s a long way from being anything close to the best. Therefore, since ‘he’ already thinks ‘he’s’ the best, he may never acheive the heights of someone who sits back and crafts his/her flow until the opportune moment to drop a statement like that and have the rapheads saying maybe he has a point.

Case in point, when Big died that’s when Jay-Z went full steam ahead at establishing himself as the best that ever did it. If Soulja Boy already thinks he’s better than the likes of Jay-Z, Kanye West, Lil Wayne, and Eminem at this stage in his career he might want to rethink those nursery rhymes he’s spitting.

The best. clearly not. but that’s the fundamental boast of all rappers, particularly what the old school was about. Anyway, the kid has something, maybe swag that a lot of younger folks will probably jump on. I’m too old to seriously entertain this but a low budget video and some catchy lyrics, i wouldn’t be surprised it this went platinum!

He’s a kid who no one respects or takes seriously. He popped up outta no where and accomplished what a lot of other well respected artists couldn’t…and he did it without playing gangsta ….so I can respect his pride.

the parents are the ones dumbing down the youth. his music is meant to be entertaining and no one is being forced to buy it. people need take the sticks outta their asses and just enjoy certain shit for what it is. not everything has to be extra deep and riddled with social conciousness, hidden messages, and metaphores.

WTF??

not everything has to be extra deep and riddled with social conciousness, hidden messages, and metaphores.

I agree, not everything, but this fool’s music only contains coonery, buffoonery, and nigerdom. If that is ALL someone listens to, yes they will become a grown idiot.

Sorry, but I listened to Bob Marley, and Peter Tosh growing up, and their lyrics have helped shape me as a grown man.

Yes, the parents are dumbing down their own kids. because it’s their responsibility to make decisions for their kids and to balance out thier entertainment options.

Soulja Boy doesn’t have enough of an extensive music catalogue for his music to be ALL that someone listens too. And even he did no one is forcing anyone to buy, play, or listen to anything that they consider bafoonery.

Lastly, you would be surprised at how silly anticts and allowing kids to be kids has been able to inspire great things and bright futures in some children.

To me and most on here this has to be a joke. But the thing is you just gotta keep in mind that hes a young buck so I don’t think its made for people that are 25 and up to listen too. And when he says hes the best i think he is stickin with his crowd the highschoolers might beleive him.
