Here is the foreword to the Mariah Carey article in the January 2010 issue of Observer Woman Magazine.
She’s pop’s precious princess – and one of its richest – but Mariah Carey is now getting rave reviews for her role as a dowdy social worker in one of the most talked-about films of the year. It’s her coolest career move yet.

Let me be the first to say fuck Mariah Carey and her drunken wino, low IQ having ass…crazy bitch doesn’t need an award, she needs a new doctor and better medication.
U are obviously a twisted mind. U come to all of her post with all of ur hate, find something constructive to do will u.
Drego is right about her getting to much credit for the movie. So what… she didn’t wear make-up. That tells u one thing…
she is FUGULY without it.
This is the BEST I’ve seen her in a LONG, LONG time. She looks like a real person and still beautiful, in fact better than her normal overly made-up, over-stylized image.
She looks amazing here, naturally she looks great ! What a talent she is !
She looks gorgeous on the cover. However, I agree with the previous comment
( minus the obvious disrespect). I find it interesting that Mariah is getting so many accolades for Precious despite Gabby and Paula’s performance. I agree, she did better than usual, but it wasn’t anywhere near the performance the other ladies put on. It just seems to me that she is being praised for mediocracy. Congrats to Mariah, though. Nice to see her movie career taking shape.
two words that should not be used in any article, comment/post, reply to a comment/post, etc, etc, etc. when discussing ANY FACET of Ms. Mariah Carey’s LOOKS…
…NATURAL…and…REAL…cancel those words!
She was the least interesting person in this movie. Any actor/actress could have played this role. NEXT———–>
Mariah Carey sucks. I look forward to her retirement.
Time for her to retire..
