ABC released a statement announcing that Ugly Betty’s fourth season will be its last today. The leading actress America Ferrera has won both a Primetime Emmy and Golden Globe for her portrayal of Betty Suarez in the television series. Here is the statement below:
“We’ve mutually come to the difficult decision to make this Ugly Betty’s final season, and are announcing now as we want to allow the show ample time to write a satisfying conclusion. We are extremely proud of this groundbreaking series, and felt it was important to give the fans a proper farewell.”

TEAR! I will miss the show! I hope somebody picks it up. They should have never changed the time slots.
Ca me gonfle à un point!
I Love The Show Extremely Disappointed
This was a great show that supported family values, diversity, LGBT issues, and fashion. It made me smile, laugh, cry, and even gasp in disbelief sometimes. In the final scene where Betty leaves her family to go to London I wonder how much was acting and how much was real emotion. I feel like I know Papi, Hilda, and Justin maybe even better than my own family. While the show ended tastefully with the theme of moving on to reach one’s dreams, it was not fitting for the show. Since the beginning the show was grounded in a world detached from reality. This aspect made the show endearing and enjoyable and made the characters larger than life. Go get’em in London , Betty!
I dont understand why ABC had to cancel the show. There are some other stupid shows on ABC that no one whants to watch, they should cancel those shows not ugly betty. I will not watch abc anymore
