It actually sounds like the controversial commentator is giving President Obama props here for making so much history in the past two years seem effortless, but when your words get twisted, you just may make YouTube.

Nothing wrong with what he said.
Are you fucking serious? What does the color of his skin have to do with the president addressing nation? Why is it always a racial SHOCK to white people when “Black people” conduct themselves in a manner in which promotes prominence, poise, professionalism, distinct and distinguished communication and progress BEYOND racial indifference? They LOVE to bring it RIGHT BACK to the age old belief that class, articulation and intellect are reserved for educated europeans and simply MUST be an anomaly anywhere else (especially in a race of people who historically/ancestrally have been deprived of such intellectual exposure.) Why must he FORGET that the man is Black in order to receive his message that had nothing to do with race in the first place?
Is Chris Matthews Racist? Of course not. And I personally don’t believe “racism” is the biggest problem we are faced with here, it’s BIGOTRY and UTTER IGNORANCE. If the election of our nations first Black President has done ANYTHING, it has DAMN SURE exposed a great deal of blatant ignorance SOME white people still possess about Black Americans.
But I will not place all the blame on the ignorance of (the majority) white America alone… for we as Black Americans have a hard time identifying ourselves in many circumstances as well, making a precise and definitive identity nearly impossible to singularly isolate. if you don’t believe me, what are you?
Black? Black American? African? African American? Nigga? Nigger? Negro? Mixed? Bi-Racial? etc… etc… etc…
Do you agree with promotion of the term describing Black/Urban “slang” communication “Ebonics” (ebony-phonics)? Or is that an insult to you?
and the answer is………… you will likely get as many different answers as their are Black people answering these questions.
so who are you, really.
you all should check out my man Specta over at 100radio.com, he talks about this type of thing all the time!!!
I’m not going to write a paper to answer your reacton, but I’m just saying there’s nothing wrong with what he said reffering to posting or giving media attention to this kind of nonsense. He forgot the president was black presumably to point out that his speech made him forget the there aren’t such things as black americans, white americans, asian americans, but only americans.
ps: you are really contradicting yourself when you begin with ” Why is it always a racial SHOCK …” and at the end it seems you let off steam because of the racial matters. The more people talk about racial stuff, the longer it will last.
I thought that was hilarious! Didnt take any offense cause if you watch his show you know that he is one of his biggest supporters. In any event-WELL DONE MR. PRESIDENT! This address was unlike any of the other speaches he has made in that it was direct, informative & funny. A couple of times during the address I had some real gut busting laughs (@ the republicans expense of course).
These MF’s are so stingy-the only time they clapped or were in support of what he said was when it involved more capital gains for banks and goverenment. If that didnt show their true colors then i dont know what will.
Ha! i think the bigger question is what exactly does he think of black people that he does actually notice the color of their skin… umm hmmn?
I think it’s funny because black people have, and have always had such an influence on society, and it seems like people forgot it. We had pyramids, books, and education way before any other race…?
Wow, with a comment like that that let’s me know that it was all about race from the jump. He had Obama set up for failure already.
I get what he is saying though. The point is that in 2 years this man managed to change the face of what we call a leader. To have them not look at him as a black man trying to run the county, but as a man who is running the country. I think you have really think about what he is saying. I know that this can never come across the right way whenever its a white person saying it, we are so quit to get defensive, but its the truth. Its not an issue that he is black its the point that having a black president is no longer a taboo thing. It is surreal, and for the older generation this is a reality.
I’m not making excuses, but alot of the times we don’t really open our ears and minds to some of the things because we get so defensive. I’m not offended at all, because I know exactly what he is saying. He is a huge supportor of Obama.
I personally say things like like all the time. Why because at some point, we stereotyped ourselves so much, that the black man has become something negative. I love to see change, I love to see a man who is a man first, and not a black man first. Sure he is Bi-racial, thats not the point, the point is that when I do anything I want to be seen as a human being, not that black lady. I been on the blogs all day saying the same thing…so i’m going to leave it alone.
Amen!!!!!!!!
i forgot he was black for one hour….until i saw him eating a piece of chicken while sipping on some red koolaid…….
