After 29 years the station changed their logo today making it a little wider and dropping off the “Music Television” tag.  Read more about the logo change HERE if you care.  So what’s the music television station now?

I’d like to meet the graphic designer who sold this “revamped” logo idea to them… looks like they just zoomed in on the original and called it a day.

Man, I remember watching Video Soul on BET to see what was going on with black folks and Total Request Live on MTV to see what the Alternative bands were doing. LOL Anything other than R&B or Hip Hop were considered Alternative to me. Well, those were the good old days. MTV is straight garbage at this point. But, the kids seem to love it. Hell, my husband still watches. Much to my chagrin.

When twitter and other ridiculous social websites die off, and people stop being so damn infactuated with other people’s lives… they’ll change it back. Internet is where it’s at!
