Karl Lagerfeld released a rather interesting statement about the untimely passing of fashion designer Alexander McQueen. He writes:
“I found his work very interesting and never banal. There was always some attraction to death, his designs were sometimes dehumanised. Who knows, perhaps after flirting with death too often, death attracts you.”

Mr. Lagerfeld..unbelievable style surrounds this man.
As for his statement, I can understand his theory here. It’s like a daredevil who has captured the very essence of cheating death in many aspects…eventually there won’t be a stunt that brings thrill any longer. With regards to Alexander, a lot of his pieces did reflect death or something related to that spectrum of life.
I do however feel it’s rather clear why death knocked on his door. His mother was everything…without her, no amount of money, praise or fabric meant a thing. He couldn’t continue on without her so it seems suicide was the only way to escape reality.
Sad story really.
agreed
is he serious
What’s worse than the insensitive elderly babble of Mr. Lagerfeld’s statement are the brain dead fools who’ll attempt to justify it.
You’re words are meant to hurt and shame. Is that all you really want to say to the world?
what are you on about??
Ughh death is normal and inevitable. Grow the fuck up stop being a sensitive clit.
Karl looks like he might be one wink away from the deaths door himself.
He right
Who would want a statement from an old asshole anyways??
